CLASS founding CEO Paul Wee to retire and be succeeded by Andrew Fong

At the CLASS Annual General Meeting last week, it was announced that CLASS founding CEO Paul Wee, will retire after 21 years with the organization. He will be succeeded by Andrew Fong,  who joined CLASS recently as CEO Designate.

Andrew Fong will take over as CEO from 1 February 2021. CLASS, and IFRRO will however not be losing Paul, as from 1 February 2021, he will continue to work with CLASS as consultant.

Paul has been a valued member of the IFRRO community for more than 20 years, when he joined CLASS in 2000. Between 2006 - 2014, Paul served as the IFRRO Regional Development Representative, in which role he was involved with colleagues from the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam in establishing their national CMOs. Paul has also represented IFRRO in promoting CMO activities and WIPO organised workshops in Brunei, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand.

Andrew has held various senior executive positions in both local and international multi-national corporations. Deeply involved in education and publishing, his business network spans across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, parts of Europe and the Americas. Before joining CLASS, he was the General Manager – Business Development (SEA & CAMENA) at Oxford University Press. 

IFRRO acknowledges Paul’s contribution to the work of IFRRO and welcomes Andrew to the IFRRO community.
