Publishers' Licensing Services (PLS) provides rights management services to the publishing industry. PLS represents the interests of publishers in collective licensing and offers a range of online services to help publishers optimise efficiencies in permissions licensing and rights management more generally.

PLS, along with ALCS, DACS and PICSEL, is a member of the Copyright Licensing Agency. We also work in partnership with NLA media access.

PLS distributes collective licensing revenues collected by CLA and NLA.

Publishers Association, Professional Publishers Association, Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers, Independent Publishers Guild.
Each member nominates up to 3 candidates who must be approved as directors by the full Board. The independent Chair of PLS and the Chief Executive are also directors of PLS.
The PLS Board nominates 4 candidates to the CLA Board who must be approved by the full CLA Board. One of the candidates is the Chair of PLS who is also co-Chair of the CLA Board.
The PLS Board also nominates 1 candidate to the to the NLA Board who must be comfirmed by the full NLA Board.
