European Parliament adopts report on the implementation of Directive 2001/29

The European Parliament (EP) adopted yesterday, 9th of July, a report on the implementation of Directive 2001/29/EC (the “InfoSoc Directive”) following more than five months of discussions that had started when a first draft report was released by Member of the European Parliament Julia Reda in January 2015.

The report in its final form will soon be made available on the Parliament’s website and is almost exactly the same as the one that was adopted by the EP Legal Affairs Committee on 16 June.

As an own-initiative report, it is not legally binding for Member States.
