ACTA rejected by three European Parliament committees

The Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) was rejected on 31 May 2012 by all three committees advising the European Parliament’s International Trade Committee (INTA). Their positions are not binding on the Trade Committee, which adopts its position as lead committee on 21 June. The file will then pass to the full House, which must consent to the Agreement in order for it to enter into force.
